BIG, EG among teams invited to DreamHack Open January Europe

FunPlus Phoenix also appears on the team list, albeit without the team's roster confirmed.
DreamHack Open January will take place on January 27-31 and feature eight teams in Europe and four in North America, with the invited squads now revealed by the tournament organizer.
BIG and Evil Geniuses headline the European team list, joined by two strong CIS sides in Gambit and Spirit. Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz and co. might get a chance to exact revenge on domestic rivals Sprout, who will also compete in the tournament, after losing to them in the ESL Meisterschaft grand final while the final name on the invite list is FunPlus Phoenix.

FunPlus Phoenix's lineup isn't yet announced, but it is expected that the former GODSENT lineup will join the Chinese organization soon after months of rumors and speculations.
The team list for DreamHack Open January Europe will be finalized after the closed qualifier, where HellRaisers and FORZE were invited.

The tournament will only feature four teams in North America, with a $30,000 prize pool reserved for the tournament. TeamOne and Triumph have spots in the main event, while Rebirth and High Coast were invited to the closed qualifier.
