Copenhagen Games have revealed four more invited teams to their 2016 edition of the tournament where the Nordic event will feature €30,000 in cash prizes.
This year in Copenhagen, the Øksnehallen exhibition centre will host a sixteen team event from the 23rd to the 26th of March as the eight invited squads will go up against the eight qualified to take home the first place prize of €17,000.
The qualifiers will be held on-site and is open up to 64 teams. Eight teams from this qualifier will go onto one of the four groups. The group stage will have a GSL format and the games will be played as a best-of-one.
HellRaisers are among the invited teams
The top two lineups from each group will advance to the single elimination playoffs where in order to advance, the teams will have to top their opponents in a best-of-three series.
Recently announced teams include HellRaisers—who have struggled lately and weren't able to qualify for the major as they lost to Liquid—, RCTIC, ALTERNATE aTTaX, and CPH Wolves are the other teams that have received invites.
Update:Originally, YP were supposed to be in the tournament but due to visa issues RCTIC have replaced them.
